The BBC’s Myanmar Service has been talking to families and rescue workers in Mandalay, Myanmar, near Friday’s deadly 7.7-magnitude earthquake.
According to the Myanmar military chief, the death toll from earthquakes and a series of aftershocks has climbed to more than 2,700, with 4,521 injured and hundreds still missing.
“We still have hope,” a man told the BBC, waiting to find out what happened to the missing sister, who has been trapped in the ruins since last week. He said the 11th floor of a building collapsed.
