Occupation members of A Disney A girl who fell overboard saved cruise ship and her father, who jumped after her.
The Disney Dream Rescue Team moved the girl and her father to a small boat on Sunday when the cruise ship returned to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the last day of the trip, according to Disney and passengers who recorded the rescue on video.
The passengers were pointed out that someone had fallen overboard through an announcement about the loudspeakers of the ship, said passenger Kevin Furuta in a social media post.
“Fortunately, the rescue team (Disney Cruise Lines) was immediately there and both were saved!” Furuta said in a contribution to the Facebook group Disney Dream Cruise Ship Group.
No information was published about how the girl fell overboard.
“We praise our crew members for their extraordinary skills and quick measures that have ensured the safe return of both guests within minutes,” said Disney in a statement. “We are committed to the security and well -being of our guests, and this incident shows the effectiveness of our security protocols.”
The coast guard did not respond to an e -mail that was looking for a comment.
