New York Fashion Week just ended, and what Wear Wear editors have across the city, taking shows, monitoring street styles and pointing out key emerging trends. “One thing I’ve been noticing about the runway is the skirt. … At Calvin Klein, there are very few versions. At Tory Burch, Tory Burch is the new look version of these (Diors) with A-Line Skirt and Peplum Blazer .
Another trend to watch out for in the fall will be the dramatic, oversized shear coat, Nichols added. “(at)altuzarra, we saw many different versions, and then on TWP, it’s another show with the calendar used by Fashion Week, where they have a nice coat. In Tory Birch (Tory) Burch) she said: “This is the most buzzing piece – this grey cut jacket is amazing. ”
For the latest episode Who wears what podcastNichols and editorial director Lauren Eggertsen shared their favorite shows, their biggest gains and their styling trends from NYFW. Also, some other dressed editors will bring modern performance reports.

Lauren Eggertsen: What are you most excited about? Are you looking forward to any show that meets your expectations or exceeds them?
Kristen Nichols: This season, there are many interesting shows. Actually, this is my first time in a Khaite show myself, and it’s really special. I’ve always loved Khaite and it’s really amazing to see the series myself. That was the Armory at Park Avenue. You walk into a very dark room with a circular runway with just a set of lights on it. This is a very simple collection, but very influential. The series is really just a cool downtown, and then a mixture of Uptown Polish.
Some of my outstanding looks are the look of the leopard. Maybe…five consecutively. One is a very beautiful dress. There is a hat on the newspaper. I don’t know if I’ll be involved. I don’t know if I can put on my own hat, but this is a continuation of the pill box-style trend we’ve been seeing.

this: If you had to pick a show, would you say your outstanding performance?
KN: Tory Burch is definitely one of my favorite shows. It’s this classic American sportswear tweak that she does a great job and is able to reshape every season in some way. (With this series), she really nailed it. Editors at the show have some work already talked about what to want in the closet – whether it’s animal printed coats or… These very beautiful strap heels paired with beige, chocolate brown color leggings, chocolate brown, and Burgundy. This is a good style element. She also gave a look at Dior New Look Skirt Suit Silhouette, which was interesting and somewhat different for her. I thought it was such a beautiful show, (i) can’t wait to dive into the new bag on the runway.

this: I would love to know what you wear on the show because you yourself are a street-style star.
KN: The more fashion weeks I attend, the more I like working with what I already have in my closet, so this is usually my fashion week. This season, I feel particularly inspired by some old images on Pinterest. The Balenciaga Runway in Fall 2004 by Nicolas Ghesquière has a special look, this very beautiful tailor-made camel coat with a stolen camel coat on it. I wear pieces from my closet to mimic the look, because I always like this look.
Michael Kors then worked at Celine with a design, a faux coffee skirt with knitted twill heel and curbside sunglasses. I put some stuff in the closet and tried to put my spin on it, and then, of course, some simple denim, coat and warm layers as it was cold this week.
this: You look great. I have to ask – you are not wearing any leggings or anything, and it’s snowing, I’m worried about you!
KN: Yes, I made some very unwise shoe choices this season, but since I moved out of Los Angeles like I did a year and a half ago, I’m still working on the right footwear.
this: There is this iconic photo. Kristen had no leggings and walked through the snow in her little mu, and I was dying. You look stylish.
this: I’m curious – based on what you’ve seen in New York so far, do you have any predictions about what’s going on for the rest of the month?
KN: Many of the collections just felt very polished and had nostalgic references. I really don’t believe anyone summoned this in their show notes, but to me, many people feel like references from the 50s and 60s. Audrey Hepburn (and) Grace Kelly or just another dressing era back on the runway, I would love to see how it progressed throughout the fashion month. This is something we’ve been writing about who wears what, and I’m interested in seeing whether we’ll see the swing of swings in the other direction, but it seems to continue in that direction. (I) are happy to see this performance in London, Milan and Paris.
