Amazon to invest $233M to enhance its India infrastructure


Amazon said on Thursday that it will invest around $ 233 million in its Indian business to further build its operating infrastructure, develop new tools for its delivery network and work on employees security and well -being.

The company said the investment helps it double its efforts to deliver to all pin codes in the country.

“This investment will improve processing capacity, improve executive speed and increase efficiency through the company’s operations network,” Amazon said in a blog post.

As part of the investment, the company will continue to work on some initiatives to support its entrepreneurs and employees, including resting places for delivery staff; financial education and support; Scholarships for children of associations; and health care for truckers.

Amazon said it is also developing new programs and tools to help delivery personnel with navigation, security and the overall delivery process.
