Apple recently announced iOS 26 At WWDC 2025And along with a new “liquid glass” drawing language, the company revealed some new features coming to Carplay.
Two of the biggest additions: Widgets come to Carplay, and so is the ability to choose a “tap” response to incoming messages. Users will now also be able to pinch their favorite conversations, as well as in iMessage.
One other change Apple highlighted during the Monday -Event is that the next call UI will no longer take over the entire Carplay screen. The UI instead will remain small and at the bottom of the screen, meaning that a phone call will not hide things like in-progressive navigation.
Carplay will receive a overall project refreshment that presents the more transparent styles of liquid glass, and all these changes will come to the New Carplay Ultra launched in May. As always happens with WWDC, wait for more details about changes to Carplay to stop over the next few days while Apple will meet with developers.
