We’ve been waiting for an update to the iPhone if This week. Instead, we received Apple TV+ on Android. Apple has officially made the application available for Android users via the Google Play Store. You won’t have to have an Apple device to register for the service or even get billed for it. There is one less reason for Tim Cook to tell you to buy your mother iPhone.
The Apple TV+ app is now available on the Google Play Store for Android devices of all kinds. Apple has developed the application with the latest frames. It works with any device with Android 10 and more. The app will adapt to all screens, from folding to tablets. That means that the old tablet you lay around could become dedicated Severance tablet. Wouldn’t that be something?
You do not need an existing Apple identifier to subscribe to Apple TV+. Apple will let you register for the service through the app and pay the subscription via Google Play. The built -in Android payment system will handle the entire billing. You can even cancel your Apple TV+ subscription using the Google Play Store app instead of crossing Apple.
This is the first time the Apple TV+ app was available on Android. It was only available on Google TV, a “housing” product for large-screen recreational devices. The Apple TV+ app works with Android -intelligent phones and tablets as it does in the iOS walled garden. You can use the feature to continue viewing to pick up a show or movie you started on your phone. You can even download content and then watch offline. The only thing you can’t do is launch Apple TV+ to some other Google devices you have at home. It is not yet available in the app, although I imagine Apple will build it in a successful version.
What’s going on here? Does Apple finally agree the idea that there is another mobile platform that people would prefer to use? Hardly. This particular edition of Apple TV+ on Android promotes Apple’s recent partnership with Major League Soccer (MLS). All games will be available to flow at Apple TV+ subscribers later this month. Apple also has a deal with Major League Baseball (MLB), which will start playing after the season starts later this year. It’s all to get into more users with Apple’s non-hard offers, especially as rival products have increased in price-watching you, YouTube TV. It is also a way for the company to justify its investment in production and offering all that original content. Luckily, it has some Oscar wins stand in marketing.
Android users can download and install the application today for a week for free from Apple TV+ – the same probation period that Apple offers everyone. After that, it is $ 10/month to continue viewing from the library or $ 100/year if you pay everyone at once.
