Authorities released social media images of the suspect on Monday Idaho firefighter shooting And identified the firefighters killed and injured in the ambush.
Authorities shared the suspect, Wess Royy, 20, at a press conference, who saw black face paint and camouflage clothing in a photo posted in his Instagram story, and the belt on his waist shared at the press conference.
According to Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris, Royy was found dead near the shooting scene where the attack caused two firefighters and injured another person for several hours.
The firefighter victim in the attack was identified at a press conference. Frank Harwood and John Morrison were killed while Dave Tisdale was in stable condition.

The suspect is believed to have set fire on Sunday in Canfield Mountain near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to attract first responders to the fire. The suspect was found to possess the Flint starter Norris was used to light the fire on Monday.
Firefighters responded to the fire at around 1:30 p.m., and gunfire was reported to be heard about half an hour later.
In the audio on the scene, a firefighter said there was an “emergency” and “an active shooter on the fire.”
“We need to enforce the law right here immediately,” the firefighter told a dispatcher.
“We have another Coeur d’Alene Firefighter…We have two unresponsive battalion heads, multiple gunshot wounds, two Coeur d’Alenes fell down…I was nailed,” the caller continued.
The caller also said the fire “was intentionally attracted us.”
“For me, this fire was intended to attract us,” the caller said.

The motivation behind Royy’s actions is unclear, Norris said on Monday that no declaration was found. Federal authorities, including the FBI, are assisting in the investigation.
“We have a message that he wants to be a firefighter at one time,” Norris said. “So we don’t know if that desire is in touch. What happened yesterday. But there was a message that we received once he wanted to be a firefighter.“
