Self-described “King of New York” Edgar Berlanga said he had already won a “victory” in the bag against Hamzah Sheeraz in the WBC Super Middleweight title in Queens on Saturday, July 12. Edgar said Shiraz (21-0-1, 17 KO) was forced to fight him because Turki Alalshik told him that he had to fight him to make him clash with Canelo Alvarez in 2026.
