Best PC Gaming Monitors (2025): Samsung. AOC, and More

My personal daily driver is the AOC Q27G4ZD (8/10, Wired Review). A 1440P display is a highly manageable resolution for modern systems, and a great goal for new construction. This AOC is a prize version, with the latest panel Te Techniko, with a very acceptable price. It quickly took the place of a less impressive 4K screen, which I think there is a testimony of how much improvement QD-OLed are over most other panel types.

It has a 240-Hz refreshing rate that is among the highest you will find on video game screens, with just a few options at 300 Hz or higher. According to the Vapor hardware surveyA little over half of players still play at 1080p. The upgrade to 1440p, plus the refreshing improvement, must feel a mass to anyone looking at 90-Hz or even a 120-Hz screen.

I only have two complaints about the AOC, and one is relatively minor. The brilliant finish is suitable for clean gaming, but it could be a little annoying if you intend to use the monitor for work and gameplay, especially if it is in a brightly lit office. The less annoying thing is the stand that feels some light for how heavy the screen is, but I recommend using Monitor arm Anyway for better adjustability.
