Allen finished his tenure as head coach in New Orleans with an 18-25 record. Allen served as New Orleans’ defensive coordinator for seven seasons before succeeding Sean Payton as the team’s head coach. Allen is now the top candidate for the Chicago Bears defensive coordinator role, ESPN reports.
Payton, who guided the Saints to the franchise’s only Super Bowl title, will turn to broadcasting in 2022 after resigning from his head coaching position. He returned to the sidelines in 2023, when he was named the next head coach Denver Broncos.

Rizzi joined New York Giants defensive coordinator Mike Kafka and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver in completing interviews with the Saints in an extensive head coaching search. Brady is in his second season as a Bills playcaller, helping star quarterback Josh Allen have arguably the best season of his career.
