Blake Shelton just like that we — he has a tattoo that he now regrets.

Shelton, 48, laughed about how he hates his arm ink during the chat CMT on Thursday, January 23. “You know, they say that tattoos are addictive,” said Shelton, pointing to the design wrapped around his arm. “I got this tattoo about 20 years ago and decided – at the moment – one of the worst mistakes of my life.”
“I’m not doing that again,” the country singer joked. “And I keep doing that.”

Fans asked the abstract art in the comments section, wondering what the design is.

“What the hell is this,” one social media user mused, as one admitted, “This is a terrible tattoo 😂😂😂.” More laughs with Shelton and blurts out that they love him with or without the ink.

Back in 2013, Shelton opened up about what the tattoo was about, sharing that his original vision was to get deer tracks around his arm, per NBC.

When he arrived at the tattoo parlor, neither he nor the artist really knew what deer tracks looked like so they worked together and created an artistic interpretation of what they thought.

Shelton later added barbed wire around the tracks in hopes it would help hide the blobs.

The “God’s Country” singer is not the only Hollywood actress who has doubts about their tattoos. Fellow country star Jelly rollwho was covered in ink, spoke GQ in March 2024 that he blamed “98 percent” of his body art.

At the time, he explained that his extensive collection began when he was just 17 years old and decided to sketch a set of his “core philosophies” on his skin.

“Now I’m 40, I’m like, ‘What the f— was I thinking?'” he joked in a YouTube video. Fortunately, if any country singer wants to remove their tattoos, removal is always an option.
