Boxing Results: Paul beats Chavez Jr., Ramirez shows off in Anaheim


Lightweight Jack Jack “Problem Kid” Paul (12-1, 7 KOS) defeated former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (54-7-1, 34 KOS) in their main event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

In the first four rounds, Paul easily surpassed Chavez who punched several times. In the sixth round, Chavez Jr. finally opened up with some offense in the last round.

In the last minute of the eighth round, Chavez Jr. was on his chin at the bottom right and then made three fists on Paul.

In the last minute of the ninth round, Chavez Jr. In the tenth and final round, it went back and forth in the last round, probably won by Chavez Jr.

Scores are 99-91, 97-93 and 98-92. Gerard White is the referee.

In the joint event, WBO world heavyweight champion Gilberto’s “Zurdo” Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOS) defeated former IBF world cruiser Dorticos (27-3, 25 KOS) with a 12 lunmonous decision.

In the first six rounds, Ramirez surpassed the thumping Dotricos in an even-numbered battle, and Doherticos warned referee Ray Ray Corona twice.

In the final seconds of the seventh round, Ramirez ended with a punch and played. In the eighth and ninth rounds Ramirez eliminated Dorticos, 39, who had not fought for a year. In the tenth round, referee Corona got his third low blow from Dorticos.

In the 11th round, Ramirez continued to work hard. In the twelfth and final round, Ramirez ended the battle with a complete world belt.

The scores are 115-112, 115-112 and 117-110.

WBA lightweight champion Floyd Austin Schofield (19-0, 13 KOS) in the first round of the scheduled 10 rounds, former IBF super lightweight champion Southpaw Tevin Farmer (33-9-1, 8 KOS) at 1:18 at 1:18.

In the first half minute, Schofield placed the farmer on his chin and sent eight votes from referee Gerard White. A few seconds later, a combination of about one or two placed the farmer on his chin again. Then, when referee White stopped, a series of fists brought the farmer to his feet.

Julian’Hammer Hands Rodriguez (24-1 (15)) stopped the US welterweight champion Avious Griffin (17-1, 16 KOS) in the 10th and final round.

In the first three rounds, with little action, Rodriguez landed more. In the last minute of the fourth round, Griffin swayed Rodriguez in the lower right corner and bent his legs.

In the eighth round, Rodriguez was low and hit by Griffin at the temple and dropped eight votes by referee David Sullivan in the first minute of the round.

Halfway through the ninth round, Rodriguez drew blood from Griffin’s nose on his left. In the tenth and final round, in the last few seconds, Rodriguez dropped Griffin with a double left hook on his chin, throwing him into the rope at the bottom, causing referee Ruderee Sullivan to waving it as Griffin tried to get up and fell into the canvas.

Middleweight Olympian Raul’El Cougar’Curiel (16-0-1, 14 KOS) eliminated Victor’Latigo’Rodriguez (16-1-1, 9 KOS) in the fourth round of the scheduled 10-round knockout round WBA WILTERTERGEIGHT volume champion.

Rodriguez eliminated Curriel in the first three rounds. At the middle of the fourth round, Curiel threw Rodriguez to his chin and body in the upper right corner, earning 8 points from referee Michael Margado. Seconds later, Curiel took a few more punches, bringing blood from Rodriguez’s nose, leaving him unprepared, causing referee Margado to call for a pause without Rodriguez complaining.

Super lightweight Victor Morales (20-1-1, 10 KO) lost to former WBC silver lightweight champion Rene’Gemelo’ Alvarado (35-16, 22 KOS) and was determined unanimously in 10 rounds.

The judge’s scores are 99-91, 99-91 and 96-94. Michael Margado is the referee.

Former WBA welterweight champion Southpaw Holly “The Missionary’s daughter Holm (34-2-3, 9 Kos) defeated Yolanda Pataita Gaidapa Waga Ochoa (10-1, 1 KO) with a unanimous decision in 10 rounds.

The judges’ scores are 100-90, 100-90 and 100-90. David Solivan is the referee.

Super lightweight John ‘Scrappy’ Ramirez (15-1, 9 Kos) set off Southpaw Joshua ‘Zurdo’South’Zurdo’South’Zurdo’Jesus Morales (33-19-2, 14 KOS) with a unanimous decision.

The scores are 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73. Edward Hernandez Sr. is the referee.

Middleweight Joel Iriarte (8-0, 7 kos) beat Kevin Johnson (12-7, 8 kos) with an unanimous decision in eight rounds.

The judges scored 80-72, 79-73 and 78-74. Ray Corona is the referee.

The bruntest Alexander’The Alley Cat Gueche (8-0, 5 Kos) beat Vincent’The Beest’Avina (8-2-1, 7 KOS) with an unanimous decision in eight rounds.

The scores are 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73. Edward Hernandez Sr. is the referee.

Heavyweight Joshua Edwards (3-0, 3 KO) eliminated Dominicc Hardy (6-4, 4 KOS) in the first round of the scheduled 6 rounds of battle. David Hartman is the referee.
