
Long -term leaders of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus, have been called “the last dictatorship of Europe” and re -elected president with 86.8 % of the votes.
The opponents of Lukashenko and the Western government condemned the results.
There are four other names on the votes-carefully selected to have no challenges to the current leaders-not allowed reliable competitors to participate in the election, because all opposition characters are in prisons or exiled abroad.
At the four -and -a -half -hour press conference on Sunday night, Steve Rosenberg, a Russian Broadcasting Corporation, asked questions about democracy and political prisoners.
