Caitlin Clark She returned to court on a long-awaited Wednesday afternoon, but Indiana’s heat did not do well against Golden State Romance.
fever In one game, Clark beat 10 points with just 12 points from the field, six points and five rebounds were blown up by Valkyries (80-61) in the game.
Entering the game, it’s interesting to see how head coach Stephanie White deployed Clark, who noted that she didn’t necessarily like being under the one-minute limit.

Clark played 25 minutes, and averaged 33.3 in her first nine games. However, her time on the court may have been paused due to late-game scoring.
Golden State entered the fourth quarter and led 64-51, a large part of that was due to a 20-9 second quarter, which created a serious half-time deficit for Indiana.
When the fever was unable to rejoin the competition, Clark was taken out for a few minutes and she never saw the court again.
Either way, this isn’t the best game to have a fever, as Clark’s defender Kelsey Mitchell only shot 3 innings on the court. And she wasn’t the only struggle, as the fever shot was only 30.9% (21 shots).

Valkyrie It wasn’t much better, with only 26 shots from the floor, but Veronica Burton and All-Star Kayla Thornton did a great job when it mattered most.
Burton led the game with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists at the same time. She was cash from outside the arc and she hit all but one of six 3-point attempts.
Thornton didn’t have the best shooting game (15-4), but she was able to score 18 points due to four points, three-pointers and six free throws.

At home Friday night, fever will return to the victory column against Atlanta’s dream tough opponent. The dream of the year was 12-7, while Indiana fell to 9-10.
