Fashion will never exist in a vacuum. The industry is often borrowed from art, literature, architecture, sports, film, and basically other fields conceivable. Wes Gordon is no stranger to cultural reference. This season, he had two very specific inspirations when designing Carolina Herrera’s F/W 25 series: the 1979 film There and the paintings by French artist Sonia Delaunay Rhythm color. The former influenced the flowers of the series, while the latter was the basis of the palette.
“existE is one of my favorite movies and the starting point for the series,” Gordon explained on the show. “The moment I was in the garden after the rain. Gardener brings the opportunity for purity to this collection of gardeners – a distilled beauty. Thinking of the way he leaned towards his garden to lean towards our closets and was cared for by thoughtfully. There. “Isn’t that sweet? It’s hard to imagine New York Fashion Week No Wes Gordon.
From this series, I was shocked by the complex and detailed craftsmanship. Scroll down to explore four of my favorite details from my F/W 25 series from Carolina Herrera.
Cobalt blue dress. Pinstripe long skirt. Comfortable turtleneck sweater. How do you make these different items feel cohesive? Well, if you are Gordon, you’ll add a metallic tulip brooch. The gold-plated accent enhances many of the looks in the Autumn and Winter 2025 collection. Suddenly, my wardrobe was incomplete without the Carolina Herrera tulips. This detail is Brooch Trend We’ve seen several seasons of NYFW this month.

Handmade silk rose knot
Gordon explained on the show that the silk rosette was “handmade one by one.” Some of the appearances feature strange rosettes on the hips, but a piece of clothing bloomed around the neck. I especially like wearing all-black clothes in beautiful blue silk.

Sequins
Carolina Herrera, Carolina, has long been a fixture on the red carpet. This season, Gordon introduced a series of sequined dresses destined to attend film premieres, film festivals and awards ceremony. Will A-Lister wear electric blue sequin columns at the Oscars? Only time will prove it!

Lace
Last but not least, the exquisite lace embroidery is another of my favorite details on the show. I certainly like these clothes, but I’m particularly interested in lace separation. I’ve never seen a cardigan look stylish! Gordon is a master of color, but he proves to be equally good at working with black and white.
