Cecilie Bahnsen’s Resort Collection is the end of her fall 2025 show. The designer once again uses functional but feminine sports gear to ease the out-of-control romance in her work. Therefore, a pair of heraldic shorts use embroidered three-dimensional flower decals, and the hardware takes the shape of a daisy. Unique to this product is a range of zippered jackets made in collaboration with Alpha Industries. There is a laser cut design with petals, while others have embroidered patches in color or monochromatic, taking away hand-colored plates found by the designer in England from an antique gardening book. She said she likes how some colors bleed and shows examples of plates where flowers extend beyond the frame. It’s an appropriate metaphor: Barnson will soon mark her 10th year. At that time, she showed how romantic fantasy dresses ruin occasions and permeate everyday life.
Nature is both beautiful and intentional. Bahnsen said some of its uncontrollableness was captured in the lookbook picture, “On a beautiful Danish summer day, there was wind everywhere.” The wind did exert the buoyancy of a short, girly, fluffy dress, while its waist fell slightly, and the waist slightly rotted slightly, feeling more refined. The designer said that growing strawberries with his son is related to nature. She explained that as they matured, “something overflowed and inspired something new. I think it’s important to collect too: it’s also important to get me wearing it every day.”
