Cherry Lichen 2-Tier Console

as Lichen — a design incubator and studio located in Ridgewood, Queens — owns grow and change Since its founding in 2017, its 2-Tier Console has grown accordingly. One of Lichen’s most popular in-house products, the 2-Tier Console began as a plywood design and later became a solid wood piece manufactured in the company’s in-house Brooklyn woodshop. Now it enters another new chapter with the release of a fresh cherry wood version.

The creation of the updated console was driven by lessons learned by the Lichen team from the large batches they produced several years ago. Noting some “inefficiencies and waste” in its production methods, Lichen changed the console’s material to solid cherry wood. Additionally, Lichen began producing the device with a new metal stand design that allowed it to be easily flat-packed—a design tweak that ensured easy transport when on the move, something anyone who lives in a big city is likely to know all too well.

The table is 59 feet long, 17.5 feet deep, and 18 feet high, and while it can store whatever you choose to place on it, it was envisioned as a place to hold a television, record album, or magazine/book. Lichen also produces Assembly video And comes with step-by-step instructions that show you how to build and break down the form.

If you’d like to add the Lichen 2-Tier Console in Cherry Wood to your home, you can now via lichen website or their Ridgewood showroom (564 Woodward Ave, Ridgewood, NY, 11385, open Saturday and Sunday 12-5). The phone is priced at $899.
