On Friday, China responded to President Trump’s tariffs and increased its own tariffs to 125 percent from 84 percent.
The announcement of the Chinese State Council came after Trump administration officials explained on Thursday that China is now facing a minimum degree of duty 145 percent of all exports to the United States.
China said its new tariffs would enter on Saturday.
