Coco Gauff shares the inside story behind her French public title: Prayer, doubt, perspective, zero regret – texting with creator Taylor

Roland-Garros of Coco Gauff, 21, was at the women’s tennis final on Saturday What is impressive is the performance beyond the years.

Gauff’s excellent defense, along with some inevitable offensive moments, led her to a three-set victory against 27-year-old Aryna Sabalenka (27) (the number one player in the world). Gauff returns very well and seems to hit all the answers on Sabalenka’s power, from the racer’s hitting championship against the overhead hitting champion to a very good position you already thought it was attracted to the target by the magnet. The relaxed conditions in Philippe-Chatrier’s court in particular complicate things – for both players, Gauff breathed deep, against the headwind, forcing Sabalenka to crash.

As the game progresses, watching Gauff’s gritty mature combination is almost tranquil: despite kicking brick dust to scratch the air, she seems to be completely still between the points, with zero nerves significant. No hands twisting, no palm control hurry ups.

Gauff is now a two-time major champion – sure to be on the way. She talked to us from New York City and had two dates on some morning talk shows.

Fashion: Congratulations, Coco! It was an incredible game. Now you have about 48 hours, since the grand victory, please tell us about the game. What works most – What else might not hit immediately?

Coco Goff: I think the most useful is, to be honest, the best mindset – stand out on the court and accepting it would be a tough mindset and an ugly person because the conditions are so difficult. I think the one who hit me later is to consider the second group. Actually, this is a very clean suit for me, but for the moment, it’s not that. I am proud of the fight I had in the first set and I think it won me the second game. Then, in Chapter 3, to be honest, everything can happen.

The condition is…I mean, you can see the effects of wind on TV, not always. It looks like chaos.

The clay flew around and into your eyes, and at some point in the game, it was a little raining. Yes. But this is Paris! You never know what weather you will get.
