Couple searching for missing children after flooding in India


Veer Singh and Kali Devi of the two construction workers both went to a nearby village to buy groceries when flash floods hit their home in Uttarakhand, northern India.

Their family – three sons, a daughter and two grandchildren – have since disappeared.

The deadly floods were among 100 people after they destroyed the Dalari Village in the state on Tuesday.

Uttarakhand, located in the western part of the Himalayas, is extremely vulnerable to flash floods and landslides.
