The former four-point world champion Crawford said he was yelling at Nelson (20-1, 16 KOs) for throwing left hooks throughout the fight as Pacheco (23-0, 18 KOs) turned around Turn around and expose your back in a defensive tactic.
All Steven could say in his defense was that he was cut over his left eye in the third quarter and saw yellow from that side.
Nelson, 36, didn’t take advantage of that flaw. Indeed, he fought the wrong way through the first ten rounds, and it wasn’t until the 11th and 12th that he went after the skinny 6’4′ stork-like Pacheco, overwhelming him with punches and pressure. By then it was too late and Diego, now 23, survived to win a 12-round unanimous decision.

However, that didn’t stop him from fighting hard in the final two rounds to make it close. He should have attacked earlier rather than waiting until after the fight to go after Pacheco.
The scores were 117-111, 117-111 and 117-111.
