Tim Bradley says if Terence Crawford wins Canelo in potential Riyadh season clash on September 13 Alvarez, will be regarded as “the best fighter on Earth”.
Crawford (41-0, 31 kos) will fight above two divisions on the weight level he has never participated before and may never fight, win or lose again with Canelo . If you want to win, you still can’t say he’s better than David Benavidez, David Morrell or Diego Pacheco.
Too small, too late?
These guys have too many figures, strengths and youths, such as aging speed hitters like Crawford to beat them. Beating Canelo will only prove that Terence is better than the 34-year-old Mexican star, but it is not that he is the “best” on Earth. Crawford’s chances are small, though, as he is the smaller, weaker version of Jermell Charlo.
When Jermell rose to 168 battles with Canelo in 2023, many fans thought he was too good for the Mexican star. But once he felt the power of Canelo, he didn’t want to fight him and move all night long. Crawford would do the same thing, because the battle was his retirement payday.
