A Danish national arrested in Denmark for allegations of collecting information about Jewish locations and Berliners Iranian intelligence German and Danish authorities will announce on Tuesday and will be extradited to Germany.
According to German prosecutors, the man was identified as Ali S under German privacy laws only.
Prosecutors said he was directed by Iranian intelligence earlier this year to gather information about Berlin’s “Jewish region and specific Jews.”
Prosecutors said the suspect was accused of espionage at three locations in June, presumably in preparation for further intelligence activities, including a terrorist attack on Jewish targets.

Iranian Ambassador to Germany Majid Nili Ahmadabadi is summoned German Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tuesday.
“If such suspicion is confirmed, it would be an outrageous event, once again proving that Iran poses a threat to Jews,” said German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul after visiting a synagogue in the country’s Ukrainian city of Odesa.
The Iranian embassy in Berlin denied the allegations as “baseless and dangerous allegations”, which it believed seemed to be an attempt to disperse Israel’s attack on Iran.
“Previous discussions with relevant German authorities have highlighted that certain third parties are trying to divert public perceptions from actual events through artificial stages,” the embassy said in a statement.

“The German government should not only remain vigilant, but also take active political action against the Iranian regime. There is no other impact on this alleged planned terrorist attack.”
Prosecutors said Ali S. will be transferred from Denmark to Germany, where he will be taken to the German Federal Court for the investigation judge.
According to the Danish National Security and Intelligence Agency, the suspect was taken until July 23 until extradition to Germany.
