Decentralized exchange GMX takes advantage of $42 million with 10% discount on white hat bounty


According to blockchain security company Peckheard.

So far, $9.6 million worth of funds have been bridged to the Ethereum blockchain, which has become a natural path for hackers, and then they then launder money through the token mix protocol tornado cash.

The rest of the $32 million remains on Abritrum, a Layer 2 network with GMX Exchange.

Traditional frax dollar worth over $10 million was stolen and $9.6 million in packaging BTC (WBTC) and $5 million Dai Stablecoin.

The GMX developers responded to the hacker and signed a message on the chain that read: “We want to provide a 10% white hat bounty to return exploited funds.”

White hat bounty is provided for ethical hackers who discover vulnerability in the agreement and receive bounty in return.
