But it’s not just Democrats taking on the task at the hearing.
R-Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski is also frustrated by the Trump administration’s layoffs and cuts special issues on public broadcasts, which she says plays an important emergency service role in his state.

President Trump is ready to restore our fiscal House to its original state and put U.S. taxpayers first, adding: “The vote for the withdrawn is a vote that shows that the U.S. Senate takes our fiscal House seriously. I hope the Senate will join us in the fight. ”
