Legislators across the aisle are reacting to the president Donald Trump’s “Big and Beautiful Bill” passed a major Senate vote Saturday night.

“Biden and Democrats left behind the huge chaos we were trying to clear up – an open border, war and a huge deficit,” Johnson said. “After working with President Trump and his highly capable economic team for weeks, I firmly believe he sees this as a necessary first step and will support my efforts to help the United States on the path of fiscal sustainability.”
The 51-49 votes were held along the party, with only Sens. ThomTillis, RN.C. and R-Ky. Rand Paul voted against unlocking the 20-hour marathon debate on the bill.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck SchumerDN.Y. is a Democrat who opposes what he calls “radical” bill.
“Senate Republicans are scrambling to pass a radical bill that dies at night, praying that the American people don’t realize what’s inside,” Schumer said in a statement. “If Senate Republicans don’t tell the American people what’s in the bill, then Democrats will force this chamber to read from beginning to end.”

The bill will not be debated immediately Senate Democrats plan to force Read in the entire 940-page legislative behemoth in the Senate.
However, Senator Rick Scott said he was “pride” in working with Trump and “after years of reckless spending from Democrats, our country is on the road to balance budgets.”

Trump called the Senate vote a “huge victory” and directly praised Johnson, Scott, Mike Lee, R-Ariz. and R-Wyo. Cynthia Lummis.
“They, and all the other Republican patriots who voted for the bill, are people who truly love our country!” Trump wrote. As President of the United States, I am proud of all and look forward to working with them to grow our economy, reduce wasteful spending, secure our borders, fight for our military/veterinary medicine, ensure our Medicaid system helps those who really need it, protect our Second Amendment, and provide more.

Trump wrote in his second post: “Be proud of the Republican Party tonight. God bless everyone! Make America great again!!!”
