If Donald Trump supporters buy any merchandise from a website related to the U.S. president, the value of his official Trump token will be rewarded with a few dollars.
Three Trump tokens, worth over $50 at the time of writing, will provide past buyers with each email address for Trump’s perfume, sneakers, cards or watches that they use to make these purchases. The token can be requested until March 1st.
Trump-affiliated websites sell products around brands of their image or slogans and tend to buy them at high prices in the market. July, limited edition Bitcoin sneakers with Trump themed For sale for $500 per pair, some are priced up to $2,500.
Trump’s slides with the wider cryptocurrency market have dropped by 8% over the past 24 hours.
Trump’s official token was unveiled a few days before taking office on January 20, becoming the first current president to be associated with Memecoin. The token runs from a few dollars at issue to its peak of more than $75 – a valuation of $13 billion.
But the sell-off is a generally decline in cryptocurrency market, and concerns about Trump’s distribution have weighted the price drop over the past few weeks, which has dropped by more than 75%.
