Dreamville Fest returns with a different name

Dreamville and Live Nation Festival producer Sascha Stone Guttfreund by Billboard,dispute Earlier report This year’s iteration will be the last. “We will be here in the next few years,” Guttfreund said. “It’s a years-long deal and we’re excited to be together with the City of Raleigh for something new and continue to build on this incredible thing we’ve done over the years.”

Raleigh City Manager Marchell Adams-David also noted that in the future, the festival may continue to have a hip-hop-heavy lineup, “We will continue to go the same path for our success. Our consumers have told us what they like and we will try to provide them for the next four years.”

She added that even if Cole wasn’t on the headlines for the future, “we used the Dreamville tag to a certain extent.” She said: “Whether he was headlined or not, he would be involved. It might not happen, but he is a local resident. He is completely committed to this community and he is completely committed to the festival.”

Ibrahim “IB” Hamad, manager and business partner of Cole, shared: “We want to keep the community feeling. We call it our family gathering. I think many people from all over the world and people from all 50 states are here and it’s great to be able to do that in North Carolina.”
