When the idea first floated to bring the iconic Alien franchise to television, Many were skeptical. Movies such as 1979 Original by Ridley Scott And 1986 Sequel by James Cameron are all -time classics. Followers, like David Fincher’s 1992 film and Scott’s return, were also notable for their own reasons. Alien Just felt a franchise, which was already heavily researched and could only harm in translation to a different resource.
Well, I’m glad to report that some skeptics, I included, were beyond wrong. Alien: land It’s not just a worthy addition to the Alien franchise; It’s the best thing that happened to it since James Cameron’s Aliens. The show is an imaginative, surprising and fascinating development of the franchise in every way. Creator Noah Hawley somehow found a perfect balance of everything we know and love An alien, combined it with new, wild perspectives on these pre -concepts, and then focused it around an emotional, river human story. Alien: land is a great show that is worthy of the Alien Franchise and also makes the whole thing immeasurably more interesting. The Alien franchise is better today than yesterday thanks to Alien: Earth.
Something9 saw six of the eight total episodes of the season, and after watching them, we are extremely confident that those final two won’t change anything. The story is too rich, the twists and become too funny, and the fears are too perfect to go wrong. We can’t wait to see where everything goes and explore everything about it, all season.

Set up three years before the events of the first Alienthe incidental incident of Alien: land is when Weyland-Yutani ship, the USS Maginotcrashes into a city administered by a corporation called Prodigy. Throughout the whole Alien Movies had their plots based on some Earth story, we never actually saw what happened on Earth, and this show takes that concept and runs with it. On the show, the Earth is managed by five mega corporations, two of which are Weyland-Yutani and Prodigy, and when the Weyland-Yutani ship crashes into a prodigal territory, all bet.
That is especially true because the Maginot It’s not a normal ship. It is a deep space exploration ship, which has been away from 65 years collecting alien beings to bring back to Earth for study. One of these is of course the xenomorph. But there are also others, some of which are even thinner and more hoarse. And, if you have seen Alien A movie, we bet you can count on how a ship full of murderous creatures ended up crashing into the ground instead of landing safely. (Which the show initially worries, and then explores in an episode that resembles his own Alien movie.)
All this, however, is only arranged for the main story of Alien: Earth. This is the story of Wendy (Sydney Chandler), a hybrid man created by Prodigy. Prodigy, and the other companies, are in a race to calculate immortality, and Prodigy has innovative technology that delivers the consciousness and memories of a child to a superior, mechanical body. Wendy is the first, but she is followed by others, and their childhood wonder and curious factor in them are sent to the Maginot crash to help the rescue efforts. That the brother Hermit of Wendy (Alex Lawther of Andor) Is there a big part of it too, especially because he thinks his sister is dead.

And while that over a convincing story of cyborgs, hybrids and immortality are always present, Alien: land never lose sight that it is Alien Show. The xenomorph, and the other creatures, are slightly tangent at first, but very quickly become crucial to the plot. That, in turn, then leads to many and much scary, bloody, Alien-Reave scenes. Also, having aliens actually bring it back to the ground, we see almost Alien Fan’s fantasy about what these companies would actually do if these creatures came back safely. Everything in the movies was always just about Weyland-Yutani that he returns to Xenomorph back to Earth, but it never happened. Here, we learn that it happened, and those stories are some of the most satisfying, shocking and wonderful moments in the series. Alien: land It may be technically a preface to the movies, but it delivers in ways that the movies never do.
As this happens, Hawley also ensures that every inch of each frame screams “Alien. “Wires explode from everywhere. Maginot crashes into his city. Is also the synthetic winger of Kavalier Kirsch, interpreted by Timothy Olyphant, who is supposed to be reliable, but always has that whim of something wrong with him. We are constantly on our toes around these slim characters, and it adds even more drama and mystery.
The heart of the show, however, after you pass the xenomorphs, is Wendy. Putting this superhero robot that has the mind and behavior of a child, in the center of the action adds an extremely unique and deep feeling to the whole show. She is lovely, she is sweet, she can take off your head in two seconds, and she can jump from cliffs without a trifle. As we look at her struggle with her new body, her emotions, her past, and possibly these creatures, we look not only at this fascinating, coat; We look at Megastar to be born in Chandler. She is incredible.

Alien: land It is also incredible. It took this self -proclamable, lifelong Alien Excellent fan during a ride unlike everything I continued in years. I was left completely entertained, completely involved and desperate to learn more about everything in this world. There are fears, surprises, and a story that supports you to want more and more. Best of all, all of it can, and it can be derailed at any time of a well-placed face, a hideout, or one of those giant, acid-for-blood monsters.
Alien: land debuts with a two-part premiere on August 12 in FX and will continue during the summer. Don’t miss it.
