Emiliano Vargas traded on today’s social media with mild second-time champion Ernesto Mercado.
Emiliano Vargas: Jealousy accusation
Emiliano (15-0, 13 KO), the son of the famous Fernando Vargas, received a lot of attention for his top ranking promoter, accusing Mercado (17-0, 16 KOS) of being jealous of the attention he received from fans and the media.
Ideally, Emiliano agreed to fight Ernesto Mercado so they could set the beef in the ring. The highest ranking may not seize this opportunity. Emiliano is a future money-maker who embellishes him in the way Edgar Berlanga and is currently doing it with Xander Zayas. This means there is no tough battle and the result is not 100% of the time in Vargas to ensure in advance.
Amateur Certificate: Mercado’s Advantages
Vargas, 21, said people don’t know who the 23-year-old Matchroom promotes “Tito” Mercado is, and by fighting him, it’s the only way fans know him. Emiliano is right in a sense. His promoter Eddie Hearn didn’t give Emiliano, and his promoter Eddie Hearn didn’t get the same promotional push.
Hearn has so many well-known people in his game room lineup that he doesn’t have time to promote them, like Senior Emiliano Vargas. Ernesto Mercado is an incredible talent with a better amateur certificate than Vargas, but Hearn doesn’t give him the same promotional impetus.
We see the same thing as the 2020 Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz. He was also promoted to the competition room. Given many, Cruz is widely regarded as the best fighter in the lightweight division, better than Shakur Stevenson. Hearn rarely mentions Andy. Hearn has so many talented fighters, he’s the game room that he’s all-out.
Poor guy, no one wants to see you fight. I don’t even have a belt, you know it’s your money to fight. 🤣This is the only way you know who you are. Keep watching me win. #lillboy https://t.co/O5HBWRX2AL

“Money fight? Dam, you’re really delusional, I think it’s all an act 😂. Sadly, you think you’re a star, I was born for your dad’s name, that’s the only thing you’re good at,” xreply Emiliano.
Did that boy really just say he is the best 140-pound fighter in the world? room #Rubbish

Mercado may destroy Emiliano because of his better talent and fundamentals. Vargas is more like the debris of the old neighborhood, fighting like his father Fernando. Once the highest ranking matches someone’s good person in the future, he will be exposed.
