An expert said Iran can As the confrontation with Israel escalates every day, attack the United States with “high-impact” cyber attacks.
Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Esmail Baghaei threatened the United States in an interview with Al Jazeera on Wednesday, saying that the United States’ side-by-side intervention with Israel would mean a “full war.”
“Any U.S. intervention is the secret to a total war in the region,” he said.

The United States and Iran completed four rounds of indirect negotiations on Tehran’s nuclear program, but no agreement was reached.

They can resort to cyber incidents and cyber attacks,” Payton said. “So we can see Iran strikes, everything from everyday citizens to our elected officials, the media, and critical infrastructure.”
Peyton said Iran will seek to target something “high-impact, very obvious and very inconvenient.” For example, Payton said energy, utilities and water supply could be areas that Iran wants to target to cause significant disruption.
Iran has a history of cyberattacks against the United States.
Seven people with ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard were indicted in 2016 by the Justice Department, according to a denial of service attack by companies such as Bank of America, Motorcycles, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo. Foreign Affairs Commission.

“They have done everything, getting information from the spear-phishing political movement and getting information from the political movement. They have disguised themselves as government officials. Over the years, they have actually attacked financial services with distributed denial of service attacks. And, they have attacked in critical infrastructure, not only in the United States, but in other countries,” she said. “So, they do have records of hits and missed related to cyber incidents. So that’s why cyber intrusions have a lot of potential for the status quo of Iran.”
