He continued: “Now, whether it’s ABC, CBS or NBC, whether it’s ABC, CBS or NBC, that’s the case, so one of the things we’re trying to do with the FCC is the way we empower locally to limit the power of these national program personnel so that these broadcasters can really serve their local communities.”
Carl’s comments were posted after his agent’s approval Entertainment studio Skydance acquired Paramount and CBS last month.

Skydance denied any role in canceling Stephen Colbert’s late night show, saying the show was notified after the decision and fully complied with anti-bribery laws. The defense was sent by Skydance General Counsel Stephanie Kyoko McKinnon to the Senate Democrats, who raised questions about political pressure.
However, Carr did part of the seismic change in the way media power structured and controlled part of the narrative as he praised Skydance’s commitment to bringing more balanced news.
“In the old media landscape, there are earthquake changes now. There are a lot of reasons, but fundamentally, I think it goes back to President Trump,” Carl said.

“He ran straight on the traditional national media and he smashed what they could decide what we thought and what we were going to say… So far, they were gatekeepers, they were gatekeepers, number one.
