one Florida After a police officer trying to escape, he was arrested on Saturday for first-degree murder and was convicted of more than two years in the first-degree murder charges that fled.
D’Archtray L. Sapp, 27, was arrested and charged with assault by law enforcement officers and refused to arrest, as well as charges including three warrants, including Attempted first-degree murder and possess a convicted felon who owns a gun.
Officials responded to the apartment complex at around 8:20 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports that someone was at the location.
When the officers arrived they found Sapp, who allegedly encountered the apartment after meeting the officer.

Once the officer confirmed that Sapp was inside the apartment, they took the steps to evacuate innocent residents from the inside. Sapp also left the apartment and the officer tried to handcuff him.
Police say Sap stretched his arms forward from behind and took off. When he ran away, he allegedly met a female officer who pushed her with his shoulder and knocked her to the ground.
Even though the police ordered him to stop, Sapp continued to flee from the police. At one point, two officers deployed their electronic stun guns issued by the agency.

Police said both officers successfully attacked Sap and he was detained.
Police noted that the officer who was knocked to the ground was not injured. On the other hand, Sapp was taken to a regional hospital where he was medically cleared after deploying an electric gun.
He was then transported to the Polk County Jail where he was dealt with.

“I am grateful that our officers were not injured during the encounter with this violent felon,” said Police Chief Vance Monroe. “Our officers did a great job making sure that Sapp was taken away and that he belonged to his residence.”
