Previous “Dancing with the Stars” profession Cheryl Burke She is opening up her love life.
In the latest episode of Ihearttradio’s “I Do, Part 2” podcast, Burke reflects on her relationship with actor Matthew Lawrence and the changes she made in her life after her marriage ends.
She said while discussing the next step: “I didn’t have a date, I chose not to.” How about seeing someone just now? I thought, ‘I am completely content with these four walls. I never have to leave. ”
Asked if it had been “more than 365 days” since the last date, Burke said, “Oh, for sure,” adding that she currently has “zero interest” in meeting anyone.

The professional dancer later admitted that she was walking around with the “blind” and although she “still thinks the guys of (S) are hot, she realized that “it doesn’t mean… they deserve it” .
Lawrence and Burke first dated for a year, from 2007 to 2008, reunited nearly a decade after they split in February 2017. The couple got married two years later in May 2019. Three years after marriage, Burke filed for divorce February 2022. Burke explained that getting married was her idea because her single “target was getting married” at the time.
“Now, I’m a different woman, and I think it’s so interesting because we think there’s a timeline we need to follow a timeline for getting married and having kids,” she explained.
“It’s like the traditional way, right? It’s what society expects from you. But it doesn’t have to be in any order or any time – amen – or does it have to happen, or it has to happen, period?”
After reflection, Burke realized that her decision to get married “has nothing to do with the person I married” but was more about her lack of love for herself and seeking something outside to “fill my cup.”

One of the decisions Burke made after the divorce was to become single, and she chose to share the August 2024 decision Instagram Reels She revealed that she has been single for three years.

She went on to explain that she “falls in love quickly” and that’s not a good thing when it comes to being close to someone, sharing that’s something she’s “working for.”
Burke said that after being intimate with others in the past, “this person and this person’s fantasy will “take over completely”, which is not good for her because “none of this is real.”

“The only real thing is anything you allow to happen (is),” she said. “And I think a lot of the time, maybe I’ll be having a leisure time Relationship or intimacyit really just keeps laughing at my soul because at the end of the day, that says a lot to me. ”
