Former Houston official criticized Texas camp as “white only”

Recently, a former appointment to the Houston City Board of Directors has claimed that one Texas summer camp The flood was tortured by “whites only, conservatives (and) Christians.”

Sade Perkins, a former member of the Houston Food Insecurity Commission, made a statement about Camp Mystery Hunt, Texas in Tiktok video this weekend.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire’s office confirmed to Fox News Digital that Perkins had released the video. She was appointed in 2023 by former mayor Sylvester Turner, and her term expires in January 2025.

Perkins began to predict in her video that she “may be cancelled for this.”

“But Mystery Camp is a Christian camp with only white girls,” Perkins continued. “They don’t even have symbolic Asians, they don’t have symbolic blacks, it’s an all-white, white only conservative Christian camp.”

“If you’re not white, you’re not right.” “You haven’t come in, you haven’t gone, for a while.”

Perkins added: “It’s not that we don’t want to find these girls, whatever girls are missing…but you better believe, especially in today’s political climate, if this is a bunch of Hispanic girls…. It won’t get the coverage they get.

The former appointment said she intends to “no shadow” for girls who have disappeared or killed due to the flood, and said she “hopefully they are all discovered” but suggested they have too much sympathy for them.

“They want you to have sympathy for these people. They want to get out of bed, go out of their homes, go find these people, donate your money to find these people.”

“At the same time, they are expelling your family. At the same time, they have set up concentration camps and prisons for your family. I need everyone to remember that, and then everyone goes there, puts on rain boots and go find these little girls.”

Whitmire’s office accepted Fox News that Perkins would not be reappointed to the board, saying her comments were “very inappropriate”.

The mayor’s office statement said: “The comments shared on social media are very inappropriate and have no status in a decent society, especially when families are saddened by confirmed deaths and ongoing searches for missing searches.”

“Mayor John Whitmire will not reappoint her and will immediately take steps to remove her from the board forever.”
