The worst secret of the offseason is Aaron Rodgers Officially joined the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It’s a year for the 41-year-old, who has been in his last two seasons with New York Jets, Everyone ended with a major disappointment.
But the Steelers are choosing not to pick quarterbacks in the NFL draft – they selected Will Howard in the sixth round – and have been targeting Rodgers since the start of the offseason.

“This is the worst case for Pittsburgh Steelers fans,” Clarke Say on ESPN Thursday. “It continues to put you in a mediocre situation. Will this team be better? Will they get better in the quarterback room? Will absolutely argue that the people, fans and organizations of the Pittsburgh Steelers think it is standard? No, they won’t.
“They will fight for a universal card position. They may become home week in the playoffs and look for franchise quarterbacks again.
“If you told me that you’re pairing one of the greatest coaches of this era with one of the greatest quarterbacks of this era, I hope that’s not what we’ll get. Maybe six years ago, but not now.”

In the offseason, two years later, the Jets decided to move on from Rodgers. His first season didn’t go as planned after tearing Achilles apart in Week 1, but last season’s 5-12 record wasn’t 1 for anyone expecting Jets Drive, while the healthy Rodgers Center was healthy.
Rodgers are back in the free agent market for any quarterback development team. But when the Jets were looking to trade Rogers with Green Bay Packers, they faced the same problem because of his availability – retirement.

Rodgers will lead Arthur Smith’s offense that will not be subject to wide receiver George Pickens in 2025 after being traded to the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason. However, Pittsburgh has reached a deal with the Seahawks to land on Pro Bowler DK Metcalf as the top receiver role.
Rodgers will also work with tight-fitting Pat Freiermuth, receivers Robert Woods and Calvin Austin, and Jaylen Warren’s young, dynamic backcourt and third-round draft pick Kaleb Johnson.
Despite the start, his 2024 campaign was a quarter-quarter MVP quarterback who performed well in the 2024 game. In his last 10 games against New York, he played 18 touchdowns and only four interceptions.

Rodgers hopes to turn 42 in December when he hopes to make the playoffs with a third-place NFL team in his Hall of Fame career.
Rodgers’ only Super Bowl champion competed against the Steelers in 2011.
