Foxconn tells hundreds of Chinese staff to return from its Indian iPhone factories


Apple’s largest assembly, Foxconn, ordered more than 300 of its Chinese employees to return home from their iPhone factories in India, Bloomberg Reportedciting anonymous sources.

The employees told to return an account for most of Foxconn’s personnel on its iPhone facilities in India, and only Taiwanese support staff remains in the country, the report said.

The motivation behind the order was not immediately clear, Bloomberg reported, although the exit noted that Chinese officials asked regulators to prevent knowledge and technological means of exporting to India to try to maintain the manufacturing of the country.

The move comes because FoxConn and other Apple providers have crawled manufacturing in India, as the iPhone manufacturer is looking for reduce its trust about Chinese manufacturing for its hardware. In May, Foxconn received approval from Indian government to Build $ 435 million of semiconductor plant in the country.

Apple’s Director General Tim Cook said the company is Importing more iPhones from India As one way to deal with the uncertainties around US tariffs and commercial risks.
