I’m not sure The divinity a good thing. Because it’s a success, filmmakers seem to get the impression that any movie involving the gangs in Italy is automatically a high-quality agreement. That wrong impression is the only thing that can mean a movie like Damn wild.
Morizing 1950s New York, the film followed the life of a gang of youth called “bees.” Charismatic Young Leon (Stephen Dorff), “The whores” were sworn to protect their block and turf. Retrieved by retaliation because of the death of their youngest brother, Leon and his brother Bobby (Brad Renfro) struggling to preserve their small piece of Brooklyn and local difficulties.
Damn wild just a little in a straight line from the beginning to the end. Flat and unknown, it begins with a series of gang-film clichés, in the middle of a consecutive drop of characters, despite their liners that raise the characters.
Like any good gang movie, there is a suitable number of necessary blasts between opponents. But even this little in Gangland, action knife failed to drum any excitement of dead fish. Gang clashs are wrapped in intent or incompetence, in an incomprehensible mishmash of action where good men cannot know from evil.
We don’t know who’s winning, nor do we have a fight. Just a set of leather jackets that rotate what set looks from Michael Jackson’s ThillerComplete with rainfall thunder and eerie 1980s light. If only a few zombies get out of the cold park, hard ground, maybe there’s probably a movie.
Instead, what Damn wild The delivering is a bunch of no teenage stereotypes stolen in stereotypes stolen from the best films and thrown at a failed test of ’50s nost york nostalgia. The only thing more Hollow Than the film’s characters is its score, which, while practically nonexistent, seems almost inevitable amidst the hollywood backlot that serves as our heroes’ home. Nothing else to know Damn wild From either other dozen or as gang films that have been broken in recent decades, unless it is in the fact that it is unreliable.
The wild is hovered with niche audience
Those criticisms deserve to be leveled, for a specified subset of fans to look at anything in mobster genre, maybe something is going to be happy here. Despite the first small box office box, raised $ 6.3 million around the world, Damn wild got a niche following many years. Over Rotten tomatoThe film holds a 51% audience score, which indicates an equal response. Its IMDB rating is slightly higher than 5.6 / 10, based on over 8,000 user ratings.
