Goldwin 0This is a future-oriented design project for Japanese brands, which is extending to new areas with its latest launch. The performance capsule of SS25 debuted by Only Abbas and Goldwin’s TechLab The heat map technology used is used to create a functional but compelling design system.
The team conducted a meticulous test to identify the body areas that are most exposed to sunlight and produce excess moisture. Using these data, the construction of each garment is mapped accordingly.
From a distance, the fragments are unsuspecting, but at close range, each unique structure becomes apparent in various circular and curved cuts and bounce reflectors. Five pieces are made of stone-made color schemes and fast-drying materials, with a quiet futuristic sensitivity.
Inspired by the growing tradition of trail running in Japan, the reimagined Goldwin Star Trail Pack is a highlight of the collection, featuring 26 vents and a front compartment for easy access. Breathable compressed shorts enhance the capsule’s running focus, as well as waterproof tear shorts with unique scalloped details. For the top, Goldwin 0 offers short-sleeved and long-sleeved T-shirts with a unique round ventilation system.
Goldwin’s affinity for high-end design was founded in 1954 and its roots are the brand’s long history of materials research, showing in recent collections such as the Goldwin Paper Fiber Collection, combining a crisp textile based on Abaca and Kodenshi finish. With the introduction of performance capsules, the brand will only enhance its established innovative spirit.
