Devin Haney tells Richardson Hitchins he looks “Cooked” The weighing today is because he defended the IBF lightweight middleweight title against George Kambosos and recommended him to reach 147.
Hitchens (19-0, 7 kos) showed up, showing up with 140 points, and he still had the IBF’s 10-pound rehydration to handle the headlines of DAZN at the Madison Square Garden Theater on Saturday.
Haney suggests moves 147 pounds
Haney’s comment about Hitchinson’s need to rise to 147 may mean he wants to fight him. Devin is now in need for his opponent after two huge payment days failed against Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia.
Promoter Eddie Hearn said today that Haney could pursue one of two champions to be withdrawn by unified welterweight champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis. He said Hanni could fight Lewis Crocker against Paddy Donovan’s championship or face Shakhram Giyasov. These are not the kind of battles Haney hopes to get.
“Africa, 147. You look cooked,” Hannie says xtalk about Richardson Hitchins.
Devin played a 145-pound ball game against Jose Ramirez on May 2 in New York City on Times Square last month. However, he still has not fought with all the secondary limits and has not faced a middleweight opponent. Ramirez has been the welterweight division of his career.
“He was fired. Both teams were fired. Tomorrow night you’re going to have an incredible night on DAZN,” said promoter Eddie Hearn, DAZN Boxingtalk about Richardson Hitchins vs. George Kambosos Jr.
If Kambosos (22-3, 10 KOS) beat the frustration on Saturday night, Hitchins might as well take Haney’s advice and raise it to 147.
“I don’t think he (ignoring Cambossus). It’s like history repeating itself this week. I think Richardson is cool,” Hearn said. “He was friendly, but yesterday he trained the group. It was hot.”
Hitchens’ drainage appearance attention
Like Hitchens’ exhaustion today, it doesn’t matter whether he hasn’t overlooked Cambossus. Just being exhausted of his appearance is enough to lose his battle and he will be forced to move upwards. He probably won’t. Hitchins is too proud to lose Kambosos without having to avenge his failure. This is Hitchens’s voluntary defense. So, obviously there is a rematch clause.
“There’s a lot of emotions out there, and that’s what George wants,” Hearn said. “He wants Richardson to stand up and fight, he’s under pressure to entertain, to make that statement. It’s dangerous in itself. George is not a top 15. He’s a former undisputed champion, he’s a very good fighter. He’s a very determined, smart guy.”
Hitchens didn’t look like yesterday today, and he pushed him away and dared to bet when Cambossus waved his real or fake $50,000 face. He doesn’t like being pushed in by Kambosos. Today, it’s very gentle, and part of Hitchens isn’t losing his temper.
“He will want Richardson to come and fight, and I think he will be tomorrow night. He has a chance to look good, but he also has the possibility of failing. I know Richardson is a favorite, but it’s a tough challenge for him. It can really make himself a world-class name in the sport,” Hearn said.
Build Hitchens as world-class
Defeating Kambosos won’t build Hitchins. The Emperor entered the fight with a record of 2-3, and many people think it is indeed 1-4 due to Cambossus’ suspicious victory over Maxi Hughes. He won, and he has a record of 1-4 in his last five games. Hitchins “build himself” and he must defeat these fighters:
– Gary Antuanne Russell
-Keyshawn Davis
– subriel Matias
– Teofimo Lopez
– Arnold Barboza Jr.
