Julier, hand-woven in Maine, incorporates Danish paper rope panels into the USM Haller system, shifting the brand’s typical focus to color-to-texture. USM’s smooth chrome frame contrasts with traditional textile works that resemble various cultural traditions around the globe. The amazing balance between industrial precision and handmade details adds a profound human factor to USM modular logic.
As a former industrial design director for Standard Questions for 12 years, Julier has a deep interest in design history, thus providing a strong interest in the familiar effects of his USM collection. The braided structure consists of ten pieces, including WS chairs, WS benches, WS stools, WS sitting positions, WS split-level tables, WS nesting tables, and WS low and high pallets.
