Here Is Everyone Mark Zuckerberg Has Hired So Far for Meta’s ‘Superintelligence’ Team


Mark Zuckerberg announced Meta -personnel today to introduce them to the new superintelligent team. The self that Wired has acquired, lists names and BIOS for the newly hired employees, many of whom came from rival AI companies such as Openai, Antropic and Google.

“We will call our overall organizational meta superintelligence Labs (MSL). This includes all our foundations, products and fair equipment, as well as a new laboratory focused on developing the next generation of our models,” Zuckerberg wrote in the self on Monday. Meta refused to comment.

Zuckerberg introduced Wang, who will be the company’s “main AI officer” of the company and head of MSL, as well as the former general manager of Github Nat Friedman. Friedman will collect the new lab with Wang, with a focus on AI products and applied research.

  • Trapit Bansal: An innovative RL on a chain of thinking and a coke of O-series models at Openal.
  • Shuchao Bi: GPT-4O’s cockpit voice mode and O4 mini. Previously led a multimodal post-training at Openal.
  • Huiwen Chang: Cocoreator of the GPT 4O image generation, and previously invented Maskit and Muse-text-to-image architectures at Google Research.
  • Ji Lin: Helped to build 03/O4-mini, GPT-4O, GPT-4.1, GPT-4.5, 40-Imagengen, and operator.
  • Joel Pobar: Inference at Antropic. Earlier at Meta for 11 years on HHVM, Hack, Flow, Redex, Action -ilo and Machine Learning.
  • Jack Rae: Pre-training Te Technika lead for twins and reasoning for Gemini 2.5. Led Gopher and Chinchilla early LLM efforts at Deepmind.
  • Hongyu REN: GPT-4O cocoreator, 4o-mini, O1-mini, O3-mini, 03 and O4 mini. Formerly leading group for post-training at Openal.
  • Johan Schalkwyk: Former Google Fellow, an early contributor to Sesame, and a technical leader for Maya.
  • Pei Sun: Post-training, encoding and reasoning for twins at Google Deepmind. Previously created the last two generations of Waymo’s perceptual models.
  • Jiahui Yu: cockpit from 03, 04-mini, GPT-4.1 and GPT-40. Previously led the perceptive team at Openal, and led Multimodal at twins.
  • Shengjia Zhao: Chatgpt’s cockpit, GPT-4, all mini-models, 4.1 and 03. Previously leather-synthetic data at Openal.
