Some House Democratsmembers including the “squad” criticized U.S. influence and policy at a meeting in Mexico City over the weekend, and one lawmaker said she was eager to be Guatemala, not American.

The second annual National Congress brought left-wing officials from all over North and South America. Those present included Democratic lawmakers: Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ayanna Presley of Massachusetts, Summer Lee of Pennsylvania and Delia Ramirez of Illinois.

All are members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
