The Marine Corps cooperates with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to quietly launch a pilot program Ice On three main military installations: Camp Pendleton, California, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and Marine Corps Base in Hawaii.
The move aims to strengthen the security of these foundations around which as many questions have been raised.
Abby Hall Blanco, professor of economics and defense at the University of Tampa, lacks transparency around the establishment of the plan.
“We don’t actually have a lot of information,” she told Fox News Digital. “The program is designed to increase security, especially around these Marine Corps bases.”

Pentagon officials issued a statement to Fox News Digital, highlighting the collaborative nature of the work.
“Our collaborative efforts with ICE at MCB Camp Pendleton, MCB Quantico and MCB Hawaii are a pilot program that is aligned with enhanced security measures we implement in all facilities around the world to prevent unauthorized installation access By foreign nationals. ”
The presence of ICE personnel “increases the power protection at the installation level by increasing visibility, coordination and threat awareness among critical access points and surrounding areas.”

The two were arrested on May 3, 2024 after trying to violate the Marine Corps base. Other incidents, including unauthorized drone flights, involve military facilities, the Wall Street Journal report said about 100 Chinese nationals attempted to violate U.S. military bases, exacerbating the growing concern of the U.S. government.

Despite the increased safety, Hall expressed doubts about the impact of ice involved.
