Israeli Forces Commission Gaza aid ship

Security camera footage showed Israeli forces boarding a yacht that brought militants to Gaza to provide humanitarian assistance.

Twelve militants, including Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg, were detained and their ship Madleen was towed to the Israeli port city of Ashdod.

Madleen’s journey was organized by Freedom Flotilla Coalition, a campaign group that has been trying to violate the blockade against Gaza, which imposed Israeli-implemented Gaza in 2007 when Hamas controlled its territory.

Activists who set sail on June 1 said the mission aims to carry rice and infant formula, including small quantities, to raise awareness about the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza caused by Israel’s restrictions on aid.

Israel regards it as a “self-portrait” and says it will expel militants to their homeland.
