Israeli troops recovered the body of a Thai man who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz and was killed in captivity by the terrorist group Kataeb al-Mujahideen, shortly after Israel – Hamas War Beginning on October 7, 2023.
Natthapong Pinta’s body was taken back to Israel after the Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Security Agency’s operations, the military said on Saturday.
“Yesterday (Friday), during the joint IDF and ISA operations, the body of Thai national Nattapong Pinta was recovered from the Rafa region of the Gaza Strip,” the IDF and ISA said in a joint statement.

“Natapen Pinta’s recovery represents the fulfillment of basic moral and human obligations that have made his family desperately need to close,” the Hostages and Missing Family Forum said in a press release.
“We stand with Natapen’s family today to share their sorrows,” the Hostage Family Forum said in a statement.
“Although the pain is enormous, his family is finally sure after 20 terrible and painful devastating uncertainties,” the statement continued. “Every family should start their personal recovery journey with certainty.”

There are still 55 people in Gaza – 33 of whom have been confirmed dead, but at least 20 are still alive. The lives of the two hostages are worrying.
