Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will call his senior security cabinet on Thursday to discuss expanding the war against Hamas, including potential military occupation of the Gaza Strip.
The prospect is against the backdrop of all 20th anniversary of Israel Leaving the EnclaveAs once confined to the political fringe, the mainstream within the government, especially after the October 7 massacre in Hamas.
Israel’s outer ministers, Negev and Galilee told Fox News Digital that rebuilding Jewish communities in Gaza would be a “historic correction of national injustice.”

“The expulsion of Jews from their own country’s homes was a strategic and moral error that led to the rise of an Islamic terrorist regime called Hamas,” he said. “This error allowed Hamas to fire the ruthless rockets and ended up in the October 7 Holocaust, which included murder, rape, abuse, robbery and of course kidnap soldiers and civilians.”

Amidror, a distinguished researcher at the Jewish Institute of National Security in the United States, said that Israel must be held accountable for Gaza’s security in the long term and used past failures to move to Palestinians after the Oslo Agreement. He believes that rebuilding the settlement could complicate the task and asserts that security should be only at the hands of the IDF.

She said her organization has taken tangible steps to start the process, “We have organized six young families (more than 1,000 families) who are now willing to move to Gaza.”
Weiss expressed regret that the Israeli government did not include Jewish placement in its official war targets, but she insisted that in Israel’s democracy, public pressure would affect government policies.
“The basic fact is that the Gaza region is part of the West Negev,” she said. “Historically, it was part of the Yehuda tribal region. It’s wrong to get you back.”
