IBF and RING CruiserGeight Jai Opetaia (28-0, 22 Kos) laid the unfortunate Claudio Squeo (17-1, 9 KOS) and broke his chin in a brutal fifth-round technical knockout at the Gold Coast Convention Center in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia on Sunday night.
In the first knockout, Opetaia connects to her hard body in the fourth round, causing the tired, red-faced Squeo to descend from the pain. Squeo stands out from the turn with Clinching Opetaia. Since then, he has looked bad.

It is doubtful whether Gilberto wants to disturb the battle with Jay after tonight’s execution. Later this month, Ramirez defended Yuniel Dorticos on June 28. So Opetaia will have to wait until the smoke in this battle clears, and then he can fight Gilberto in a unified battle if he wins.

Need over competitors
The contender in the division is much better than Squeo. Even if Opetaia has to surrender some wallets to attract these fighters, he needs it.
Ideally, his promoters should invest in him through overcompetitors. How will Opetaia become more popular? Battle tomato jars like Squeo won’t do that, as the buzzing sound of this battle outside of Australia causes a small buzz.
