The Arkansas Department of Public Safety announced they were arrested Wednesday for killing a married couple in front of children at Devil Dan State Park.
Special agents from the Arkansas State Police Department (ASP) arrested James Andrew McGann, 28, of Springdale for allegedly being in the double homicide that took place Saturday.
He was accused of killing Clinton on the edge of the 43-year-old, while Cristen Brink hiked with his daughter. Their 7- and 9-year-old daughters are now with their family.

He was charged with two counts of death.
Police initially released a composite sketch after the couple found along a walking trail in state park. In their statement, they reminded the suspects that “could be injured when attacking the couple.” They had no other information at the time.
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement hours after confirming James Andrew McGann’s arrest.

“In the crimes last weekend, there was no news that healed the great harm caused to the marginal family, but this announcement is a comfort and assurance to our state. I am proud of the Arkansas police, Parker rangers, local law enforcement, and others who have been working constantly since last weekend’s occupation of this suspect,” Governor Sanders said. “I ask Arkansans to express their prayers thanking the brave men and women law enforcement – and to express condolences to the victims of this horrible crime. Don’t misunderstand – we won’t tolerate violent crime in Arkansas. If you target innocent people, law enforcement will hunt you and call on you and make you justice.”
