Jeff Bezos is reportedly courting Trump after public spat with Musk

Jeff Bezos seems to try to capitalize the recent blowing between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, according to A new report From The Wall Street Journal.

Bezos talked to Trump twice this month, sometimes discussing more government contracts for its space company Blue origin, according to the report. Dave Limp, Director General of Blue Origin, also visited the White House to meet with Trump’s main staff, Susie Wiles. Bezos even reportedly invited Trump to his next wedding in Venice, Italy.

The interactions with the White House came after Musk and Trump spent days swinging mud to each other on social media. The founder Spacex claimed that the president is “in the Epstein files” and claimed that they “did not become public.” Trump, meanwhile, threatened to take away “billions and billions of dollars” valuable subsidies and contracts that go to Musk’s companies.

While that feud quickly cooled, Bezos seems to have felt a chance for blue origin – especially after Trump drew the appointment of Musk’s favorite choice to lead NASA. Musk strongly pushed to focus on Spacex (and NASA) on missions to Mars, while the near -term blue origin plans are more oriented around missions to the Moon. In recent conversations, Trump “discussed with Bezos his desire to see a naval mission to the Moon during his term,” according to the report.
